Kevin Durant, who was just signed by the Houston Rockets, spoke candidly about his troubled time with the Brooklyn Nets on the Mind the Game podcast.
During his time in Brooklyn, Durant revealed the events that led up to the failure of the much-anticipated experiment.
Durant’s comments have already stirred reactions, including one from his former teammate Kyrie Irving. The Dallas Mavericks star took to social media to hint that a response is coming soon.
“Lol I am gonna address this on my stream soon,” Irving wrote.
Durant didn’t ignore Kyrie’s response. In fact, he embraced it with lighthearted anticipation by reposting Kyrie’s comment.
“Lemme set this noti,” KD wrote.
Durant and Irving joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 with dreams of building a super team.
However, after two and a half years together, the duo failed to make a significant postseason impact. Injuries, off-court controversies, and midseason trades defined an era that never quite met its potential.
