A number of Crimson Tide football players have been named preseason All-Americans for the 2025 season by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, a testament to the team’s talent.
First-Team All-America Selections
Ryan Williams, a sophomore wide receiver, secured first-team All-America honors. The Saraland High School product made waves as a freshman in 2024, playing the entire season at just 17 years old. Williams recorded 48 receptions for 865 yards and eight touchdowns.
His impressive play versus Georgia solidified his position as a college football rising star; he converted a fantastic reception into the game-winning touchdown with a succession of breathtaking moves.
Additionally, offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, a junior, was named to the first team. For Alabama’s left tackle position, the Iowa native has been indispensable for the last two years.
Following Nick Saban’s retirement in January 2024, Proctor briefly transferred to Iowa but returned to Tuscaloosa to reclaim his starting role before his sophomore year.
In 2024, he was named second-team All-SEC, and in 2023, he earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Second-Team All-America Selection
Tim Keenan, a senior defensive lineman from Birmingham, was named to the Walter Camp second-team All-America squad. In 2024, Keenan started 12 of Alabama’s 13 games, amassing 40 tackles, including 7.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks.
His contributions on the defensive line have been vital as he enters his final season with the Crimson Tide.
Walter Camp Foundation All-American Team Nominations
The Walter Camp Football Foundation, one of the most prestigious organizations in college football, annually selects All-America teams based on player performance and potential.
The foundation’s preseason All-America teams, established in 1889, are among the oldest and most respected in the sport.
The sustained excellence of the Alabama program is reflected in the three honorees—Williams, Proctor, and Keenan—who will represent the Crimson Tide.
The final All-America teams will be released after the conclusion of the 2025 season, and other Alabama players may be recognised depending on their performance on the field.
Looking Ahead for Alabama
Under head coach Kalen DeBoer, now in his second year, Alabama will kick off preseason camp in early August 2025. The Crimson Tide will open the season with a high-profile road game against Florida State in Tallahassee, setting the stage for another competitive year in the SEC.
