Reason why Liverpool player Darwin Nunez was held back by Jurgen Klopp from angryily attacking Pep Guardiola after the final whistle during the match

With the game over, Darwin Nunez and Pep Guardiola had to be held back. On Saturday, Liverpool and Manchester City tied 1-1.

Darwin Nunez, a star player for Liverpool, was pushed away from Pep Guardiola by Jurgen Klopp after the game at the Etihad. Both players seemed very angry with each other. After Trent Alexander-Arnold wiped out Erling Haaland’s first goal, Liverpool and City couldn’t get away from each other on the field.

In the last few minutes, this game almost got out of hand as City pushed for the win and Liverpool fought to stay alive. In spite of this, Nunez and Guardiola were still angry with each other on the sidelines after the game.

Filmers didn’t catch the start of the fight, but Nunez was furious and was seen pointing at Guardiola while Klopp moved him away from the action. Guardiola tried to talk to Nunez, but Pep Lijnders stopped him. The Liverpool manager tried to calm down his striker.

In the end, Klopp was able to get Nunez to leave the situation, but Guardiola looked confused by what was going on.

Nunez and Guardiola shook hands on the sidelines at first, but the Liverpool striker seemed to get angry with something the City manager said or did. Guardiola was not pleased by Nunez’s actions, so Liverpool’s coaching staff had to step in and try to calm things down.

It seemed like the fight between Guardiola and Klopp wasn’t that important because they were able to laugh about it. On that day, though, there was no difference between the two teams. City stayed on top of the table, but Liverpool may have been happy with a point.

They last won a league game at Manchester City in 2015, just a few weeks after Jurgen Klopp took over as manager at Anfield. They may now think they have a good chance of beating their rivals on Merseyside and getting ahead of City in the race for the title.

Gary Neville is a commentator for Sky Sports. He thinks that City will be upset with the outcome, while Liverpool will feel better about the draw.

“Liverpool are getting better and better,” he said. They can feel really good about this because it was a big step forward. Klopp will be very proud of how hard his team worked. City did not play their best. It makes me feel like I’ve lost.
