Coach K, whose real name was Michael Krzyzewski, made a daring claim about the freshman class at Duke.
The illustrious head coach had an idea for the greatest freshman in Blue Devils history when he thought back on the school’s basketball greats.
“Cooper [Flagg] is the best freshman that has ever played [at Duke],” Coach K said.
On SiriusXM College Sports Radio, Coach K discussed the Duke basketball team’s standout players.
A video excerpt from his interview was shared on Tuesday by Bleacher Report Hoops to their Instagram account.
College basketball fans reacted to Coach K’s praise for Flagg in the comments. Many argued that the Blue Devils have had better freshman players.
