When he was a Nike player, Kyrie was known for wearing top-tier performance trainers. From models 1 through 8, the Kyrie series hardly had any detractors.
Those lucky enough to get their hands on the 8s were raving about them, despite their brief run before all the Nike drama started. He has grown his brand since joining Anta.
Many of his basketball and lifestyle shoe releases have been instant hits, selling out at retail outlets and on his website.
I’ve seen a few Anta Kai line performance reports, and it seems like a lot of folks are really pleased. From what we can see, the Nike era is still going strong.
I really like the “White Phantom” colourway that Kyrie just unveiled for his second Anta shoe—I was really excited about it.
Before seeing these, I hadn’t given the Kai queue with Anta any thought.
I can see why the Kai 2s are so popular after seeing Kyrie’s season-appropriate colourways and the shoes themselves.
It sounds like a classic Kyrie shoe—great colour options, decent performance. Perhaps more people would be sporting the new Kyries if more athletes weren’t sponsored by big names.
One drawback is that they are luminescent. An illuminated basketball sneaker? For children, it must be like a fairy tale.
