Reason why 30-years old Chelsea F.C. Women Forward Sam Kerr dont want to wish Emma Hayes all the best as USWNT new coach

It makes sense to Sam Kerr that Emma Hayes, her coach at Chelsea, is going to lead the U.S. women’s national team.

Just don’t think that the star player for Australia will wish Hayes the best.

Hayes will leave Chelsea at the end of the 2023–24 season. In May, she will become the head coach of the USWNT.

At the news conference on Wednesday before Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League game against Paris FC, Kerr and Hayes had a genuine laugh.

Kerr said of Hayes, “Chelsea are very lucky to have had her for so long.” It’s sad to see her go, but we all wish her the best. Most of us in sports are used to things like this.

Hayes spoke up and asked, “Do you mean it?”

Kerr replied, “No,” and then he started laughing.

For this reason, it’s hard to blame the striker. Kerr and Australia could play Hayes and the USWNT as soon as the Olympics next summer.
