Manchester United failure “does not miss” his former club.
On Saturday, when Manchester United hosts Everton, manager Erik ten Hag will be hopeful that his squad maintains their recent strong form.
The Red Devils have won four of their last five matches, which is the greatest start of any Premier League team.
On Saturday, they will travel to Goodison Park to face a Toffees side that was penalized 10 points for violating the Premier League’s sustainability regulations last weekend.
Mason Mount is one player who will be aiming to make his United debut against Everton. Mount has struggled since his arrival in Manchester.
Although the midfielder has been relatively ineffective at Old Trafford, according to The Athletic, he “doesn’t miss” his former club Chelsea.
Over the summer, the 24-year-old transferred from the Blues to United, having appeared in 195 games for his youth club across all competitions.
With 33 goals and 37 assists, he led Chelsea to the Champions League title in 2021.
Mount, who had been a member of the club since his sixth birthday, left West London in the summer after the Blues were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension.
However, since his transfer to Old Trafford, Mount has been scoreless and has only offered one assist in twelve appearances for the club.
Thus far this season, the Englishman has made just four Premier League starts, as Ten Hag appears to favour attacking midfielders such as Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes.
Mount is reportedly dissatisfied with his recent limited playing time, having made the majority of his United appearances thus far from the bench.
Ten Hag will be hopeful that Mount, who joined United from Chelsea for approximately £60 million this summer, can quickly replicate the form he displayed while playing for Stamford Bridge.
