Man City rejected three offers for their key man during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City officials denied three offers to acquire the highly regarded Norwegian international forward Oscar Bobb during the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola has incorporated the Manchester City academy graduate into his matchday rosters on a regular basis this season. He has appeared for the Treble victors in all competitions thus far and is regarded as an integral member of the squad moving forward.
In light of Phil Foden and Rico Lewis’s recent breakthroughs into the first-team squads of Manchester City, there is considerable speculation that Oscar Bobb may follow in their footsteps. Etihad officials’ stance on the player is consistent with this notion.
A recent report provides a comprehensive account of the measures taken by Manchester City to retain the player’s skills during the summer transfer window. In the same market, the club approved a loan departure for James McAtee and a permanent agreement for Cole Palmer.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Premier League champions Manchester City rejected three loan offers for Norway international Oscar Bobb in August. One of those offers was from Serie A powerhouse Lazio.
Regarding the possibility of a loan move away from City during the previous summer transfer window, Oscar Bobb stated to Dagbladet, “It wasn’t that this summer,” as Sport Witness translated and relayed his statement. That is not the path I wish to take. Despite the possibility, I would rather be in City.”
Further discussing his experience at Manchester City, the 20-year-old said, “It’s quite pleasant. It is a desired location. It is an ideal environment for football players to grow and progress. “Without exception, no one within the dressing room stands out.”
Manchester City has such high expectations for the player that Etihad Stadium officials are rumored to be considering presenting Oscar Bobb’s representatives with a proposal to extend his contract with the Premier League champions in exchange for improved terms.
Bobb replied, “That is handled by my agents and the club,” in response to a query regarding the potential for a new contract. “I have no knowledge of anything. It would be pretty cool if he spent the remainder of his life at Manchester City.
Oscar Bobb has been lauded by Pep Guardiola on multiple occasions thus far this season, with the youngster’s versatility across the forward line for Manchester City filling him with pleasure.
Regarding Bobb, the manager of Manchester City stated at the end of September, “Oscar’s ingenuity in locating individuals makes him an exceptional asset in confined areas. That was the rationale behind Mathius Nunes’ substitution at halftime against Wolves; it had nothing to do with his poor performance.
“I believed Oscar (Bobb) could contribute something different (to the team),” Pep Guardiola said after Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Liverpool by a narrow margin at Molineux.
