Contact established: Liverpool can eventually sign €182,000 per week future superstar.
Reports indicate that Liverpool, which communicated with Barcelona in the summer, can now officially sign Ansu Fati.
On 30 August 2023, the Spanish news outlet SPORT reported that Liverpool had initiated communication with Barcelona to obtain an update on Fati’s transfer intentions.
After joining Brighton on loan on September 1, he received the majority of his €182,000 per week compensation paid by the Seagulls.
According to Football Transfers, Liverpool is “among a multitude of Premier League clubs” that are interested in signing Fati.
The optimistic English clubs may be disappointed, however, as Fati is reportedly eager to return to Camp Nou and “prove himself at Barcelona.”
As of this moment, Fati has recorded four goals and one assist in 12 appearances across all competitions in the Premier League.
It is deemed implausible that the Spaniard would succeed Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, as the report speculates on the matter.
Salah has emerged as a colossus of the field at Anfield, and if Jurgen Klopp wishes to maintain the ship’s stability following his departure, he must acquire a player of comparable caliber.
Although Fati is a dynamic player, he must still put in additional time before he can assert that he is destined to reach the same heights as Mohamed Salah.
Following 305 days of football absence due to a ruptured inner meniscus in his left knee, the 21-year-old was sidelined.
Currently, he is performing exceptionally well in the Premier League, but he requires additional time to mature before he can transfer clubs.
