Mark Pope says what he thinks about the argument over whether to sit or stand while cheering.
This week on the BBN, people have been talking about how it feels at Rupp Arena. When you cheer, should you stand or sit?
Fans of the Kentucky Wildcats have been arguing about this for a long time, with many wanting Rupp Arena to be named as one of the best places to watch college basketball in the country.
We can all agree that place could have a lot more juice sometimes, even though it’s high on that list. But it’s hard to do that when police officers threaten to arrest you for standing there.
Mark Pope, the head coach, was asked about it at his Wednesday press conference to talk about Ohio State.
“Man, I hope that everyone who goes to that arena has a great time.” “It’s so substantial to us that I am powerless to describe it,” he said.
It might not be the answer the BBN was looking for, but it’s definitely true. This team means a lot to people in this state, and the Cats will need the support of their fans to get through their tough SEC schedule in the coming weeks and months.
Here’s hoping that this argument makes Rupp Arena one of the louder places in sports.
