In 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders really need to get a better running back. According to an NFL reporter, there is a good chance they will look for a skilled back from the AFC North this spring.

For the Raiders, this season has been a huge letdown. Especially since they had a lot of hope going into the 2024 election. Antiono Pierce was hired as the full-time head coach after a strong finish to the second half. Fans have reason to think that Las Vegas could return to the playoffs this season. Since then, they’re 2-10 after 13 weeks and are on track to have a top-five pick in the NFL Draft.

The team’s bad play this year can be traced to many people. But quarterback and running back are two positions that have not worked out well. A lot of Raiders fans wish players like Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs were back in silver and black after seeing how players like Gardner Minshew and Zamir White have played.

But there is hope that both spots will get a lot better over the summer. This is especially true since the team has a lot of money and high draft picks in April. But when it comes to the running back spot, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Steelers thinks that a veteran player from Pittsburgh will be one of Vegas’ top free agent targets in the spring.

Could the Las Vegas Raiders sign Najee Harris when he becomes a free agent in 2025?

Batko talked about Najee Harris on the “Joe Starkley Show” on 93.7 The Fan. “I think he, too, wouldn’t mind a fresh start— “I told someone about the Las Vegas Raiders in my chat the other day when they asked about him.”

“Everyone knows that Marshawn Lynch taught him the ropes.” Another guy from Oakland. Things like that are still the same. I believe they will be able to pick a rookie and most likely pay a running back. If Najee ends up in Vegas next year, that would be cool, he said. “I just don’t see him coming back here.”

The NFL Draft’s first-round pick is on track for his fourth straight season with 1,000 or more running yards in 2024. There aren’t many backs in the league who are as good as this one, and he hasn’t missed a game in his first four years in the league.
