While he was racing dirt bikes, Scott Bloomquist won over 600 races and nine titles. He is in the dirt racing hall of fame.

What Scott Bloomquist left behind

The first race Scott Bloomquist ever ran was at the Corona Raceway in Corona, California, when he was only sixteen years old. After two years, he won the track title, which was a sign of better things to come. He kept racing and improved his car. By the late 1980s, he was usually winning races, such as the World 10 at Eldora Speedway in 1988 and 1990.

During the 1990s and 2000s, Bloomquist quickly became one of the most dominant forces in dirt racing, winning a lot of races and championships. He won three Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series titles in 2009, 2010, and 2016, as well as a World of Outlaws Late Model Series title in 2004.

Bloomquist was also a top athlete throughout his career. He completed in the top five for the last time earlier this year in Tazewell, Tennessee. He was made a member of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2002. Bloomquist also owned Team Zero Race Cars, a company that made chassis for late-model race cars.

He died in a small plane crash not far from his home in Mooresburg, Tennessee.
