Manchester United
The Jurgen Klopp method is already being used by Ruben Amorim to make things better at Manchester United.
In just a few days, Ruben Amorim has taken a very different method to managing Manchester United than Erik Ten Hag did before him.
The Dutch head coach, who was fired last month, was like former managers Sir Alex Ferguson, Louis Van Gaal, and Jose Mourinho: he was cold and strict on the bench at Old Trafford. But almost ten years later, Ferguson’s last Premier League title is hard to follow.
This hiring is different for United, but it’s not a new road. According to first views, Ole Gunnar Solskjør is the head coach who looks most like Amorim.
The new manager of the Reds was seen greeting his players while they waited at Carrington during the current international break.
A video posted on United’s social media shows Amorim embracing Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, and other players while saying he wants to “have fun” with them.
Naturally, how long the “fun” can last will depend on the results, but a more approachable style is something to be admired. That doesn’t mean the 39-year-old won’t enforce the law when it’s necessary, though. After all, Jurgen Klopp used it successfully when he was in charge of Liverpool.
The German manager got along great with his players, who ended up winning the Premier League and the Champions League at Anfield. So far, United fans can only dream of a similar outcome.
It will be easier for Amorim to introduce his thoughts and philosophy to his players if he can quickly win their support. United might be able to go very high if they push through a brick wall for him like Klopp’s Liverpool did.
