Manchester United
While Manchester United welcomes their new head coach, Viktor Gyokeres sends a message to Ruben Amorim.
As soon as Ruben Amorim walked into Old Trafford, Manchester United rolled out the red carpet.
When Ruben Amorim got to Manchester to start his job as head coach of the Red Devils, he was greeted by top executives from Ineos.
That’s when Amorim left, leaving Sporting at the top of the league and on a roll in the Champions League as well.
Amorim said that star player Pedro “Pote” Goncalves was mad at him for leaving in the middle of the season.
Viktor Gyokare isn’t mad.
Striker Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting is not showing that he is mad at Ruben Amorim if he is.
When Amorim’s first shots with Manchester United came out, Gyokeres sent out his own message.
He put up a picture of himself sitting next to Amorim and happy. The caption said, “Thank you for everything, sir.”
The Gyokeres to United deal is still alive.
Since he joined Sporting to play for Amorim, Viktor Gyokeres has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
The amazing hat-trick Gyokeres got last week against Manchester City was one of his 66 goals in 68 games across all competitions.
What did Manchester United fans think? They were salivating and wondering if Amorim would quickly call his old team to sign the scorer.
That will have to wait for now. Amorim kept his promise not to sign any Sporting players in January.
Next summer will be different, though, because Gyokeres has agreed to leave Sporting for about £63 million, which is less than his £85 million release clause. The head of Sporting knows he can’t keep him for a long time.
Which is less than what United spent for Rasmus Hojlund. If the Dane can’t turn into Gyokeres by the end of the season, Amorim might buy the real one.
