Since it was proven that Erik ten Hag was fired, Ruben Amorim has done a great job.

Just hours after Ten Hag was fired, Amorim became the clear favourite to replace him. He spoke at Sporting Lisbon press interviews before he was officially given the job.

The 39-year-old is a great communicator, which makes United staff members happy. He made a strong effect on fans before he even got to Manchester.

That was caused by the way Amorim talked in news conferences and Sporting’s win over Manchester City in the Champions League. Fans were eager to see him when he arrived at Manchester Airport, which marked the start of his tenure.

From the airport, Amorim went straight to Carrington. Until he gets his visa, he can’t “coach on grass,” but he did meet the staff and take a look around the training ground.

When the Premier League starts up again after the international break, his first game in charge of United will be against Ipswich Town. It will be interesting to see how he chooses his team.

If you haven’t already read, Amorim uses a 3-4-3 formation. When the first team of his rule is announced at Portman Road, all eyes will be on the team sheet.

Some people think Amorim might slowly put his theory into action and start by compromising strategically, but he hinted that he would take the bull by the horns on Sunday.

In Amorim’s last game as manager of Sporting, his team won 4–2. He was asked in the press conference that followed the game how long it would take for his strategy to be seen at United.

“You have to start with a structure that you know,” Amorim said in perfect English. “I know how I’m going to play at the beginning.” “Then you will change based on the players you have, whether they are hurt or not, and what kind of players can defend and attack.”

“In a few weeks, I’ll find out that.” They don’t have much time to learn, so I need to show them something I know very well. That’s yours to use however you like.

Amorim’s answer showed that he won’t waste any time getting his message across, and he’ll know exactly what he needs to stress in training to get ready for Ipswich.

It would be best for a new coach to have a full pre-season to change the way a team plays, but Amorim started during the season, which will make the job harder.

United thinks they hired one of the best coaching chances in football, and Amorim’s track record suggests he has the skills to improve results and put in place a style. However, it won’t be easy to change the approach, and there will be teething problems in the coming weeks.

Some United players, like Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw, have played in a scheme like this before, but others might learn something from Amorim’s way of doing things.

That can only be good because it will keep the players’ thoughts active. They should support what Amorim is trying to do, and anyone who doesn’t can be shown the door.

The team did well under temporary manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, going undefeated in four games, but the way they played wasn’t very different from how Ten Hag had United playing.

If you look at Amorim’s plans, they are very different. It’s going to be exciting for sure.
