Lisandro Martinez and Antony both give two solid hints about Manchester United’s starting lineup for the game against PAOK.
In the Europa League this season, Manchester United is still looking for their first win.
There have been hints about Manchester United’s starting lineup for tonight’s Europa League game against PAOK from players like Lisandro Martinez and Antony.
Erik ten Hag was fired because he couldn’t get United to win against FC Twente, Porto, or Fenerbahce. United is now trying to end a run of three straight draws in the tournament. After a win and a tie in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League, Ruud van Nistelrooy is in charge of his third game.
As soon as Ruben Amorim gets there, the Dutch caretaker manager will try to get their European campaign off to a good start. After saying goodbye to Sporting CP, the Portuguese manager will start his new job at Old Trafford on Monday (November 11), and the team will be looking to make a good impression, too.
Martinez and Antony, two stars for United, posted about the game on their Instagram stories before it started. Amad and Diogo Dalot also talked about the game. These posts could, of course, just be made by someone managing their accounts, whether they are going to be active or not.
Antony has been out since the draw in Turkey, when he hurt his ankle, but he returned to training with Christian Eriksen on Wednesday. Mason Mount also played while he works to get back to full health, and Leny Yoro finally joined the team after being out since pre-season.
The temporary head coach has to make a choice this coming week before the game against Leicester City on Sunday. At the moment, Jonny Evans and Victo Lindelof are the only players who can play instead of Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt, who played together against Chelsea.
He was taken care of very well after getting hurt in preseason, Van Nistelrooy said. “Right now Tyrell is the farthest along.” It’s smart of him to plan his game time. Maybe with the under-21s, we’ll see.
“Harry is still in the hospital working on his recovery. Luke does pitch work every day, like he did today, and he’s getting better at it so that he can hopefully start partial team training soon.” It was clear that it would last a long time. A big moment, the first time back in team practice.
“He’ll be back partially over the coming weeks and we’ll look to get him on board as quick as possible.”
