Manchester United
The team I think will play against PAOK is: Amad and Altay Bayindir will start.
Tomorrow night, Manchester United plays PAOK in what will be Ruud van Nistelrooy’s second-to-last game in charge of the team.
United hasn’t won a game in the tournament yet, and they need to get off this bad spot and start moving up the table right away.
This is because Van Nistelrooy has a Premier League home game against Leicester City in three days. He might want to rest some legs.
But since there aren’t many senior players available and the defense needs to work together better right away, it seems more likely that he will put together what he thinks is a very good team, hoping to win quickly and making substitutions early on.
We think he will make one change, which is to give Altay Bayindir another chance to play goal. He had no doubts about starting him in last week’s Carabao Cup game against Leicester. This week’s home game against a team in 30th place in the Europa League table should be a great chance to give Andre Onana another night off.
Diogo Dalot should stay at right back, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez should stay in the middle of the defense, and Noussair Mazraoui should stay at left back. Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are also possible, and there have been rumors that young Harry Amass could be used at left back, but that would be risky.
It’s still not possible to get Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, or Tyrell Malacia.
It’s still not clear if Christian Eriksen is healthy enough to return to the middle. He will likely start if he is, but we thought he wasn’t so we stuck with Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte. Last week, they played great against Leicester but badly against Chelsea. Since Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, and Dan Gore are all hurt, there aren’t many other choices.
Mason Mount is back in training, but he probably won’t be put at risk right away.
There are two talented wingers, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, who could both be rested and Amad given the start. Rashford was taken off early against Chelsea, which could mean he will be fresher today. This means that the Argentinian could be rested.
Antony is still hurt.
Rasmus Hojlund will likely start the game up front, with Josh Zirkzee having trouble getting going. But Hojlund’s health is still uncertain, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise if Van Nistelrooy played him and pushed Fernandes up to play with him in the 4-4-2 formation that worked so well last week.Because of this, Bruno Fernandes will almost certainly start in the tenth spot.
With that in mind, here is the team we think will play in tomorrow’s 8pm match:
