A good injury report means that Leny Yoro, a defender for Manchester United, could play in Ruben Amorim’s first game as manager.

Yoro moved from Lille to United in the summer for £52 million after United beat Real Madrid to the player. But his start in England has been slowed down because he hurt himself in pre-season.

Since then, the defender has gone back to working out alone on the grass, but his comeback to play hasn’t gone any further. However, the Evening Standard says that Amorim might be able to get the teenager ready for the trip to Ipswich Town.

It was said in the Evening Standard that Yoro will be “expected” to join United again after the next international break. The first game back will be Amorim’s first as head coach. It will be played at Portman Road.

After a deal was made between United and Sporting CP, Amorim won’t start at Old Trafford for another seven days. The 39-year-old will be in charge of tomorrow’s Champions League match against Manchester City. Before that, he will be in charge of the Liga Portugal match against Braga.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will stay on as interim manager for Thursday’s game against PAOK. His short term will end next weekend against Leicester City.
