Manchester United
Manchester United fans choose the man of the match for the game against Chelsea. More than half of the votes went to two players.
The first Premier League game that Manchester United played with interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy ended in a 1-1 tie.
There was a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford. Moises Caicedo scored a goal that cancelled out Bruno Fernandes’ penalty.
It was a missed chance for United to get things going, and they are now in 13th place in the Premier League.
Even though United’s play wasn’t always consistent, it was a lot better than the terrible home performances they had in their 3-0 losses to Liverpool and Tottenham.
Fans of Manchester United pick a “man of the match”
Fans of Manchester United used the club app to vote for “Man of the Match,” and two players got most of the votes.
Two-thirds of the votes went to Noussair Mazraoui and Bruno Fernandes together. The Moroccan won the election.
Mazraoui was also named the best player by United In Focus.
Here is a list of how the official votes were cast…
Noussair Mazraoui: 37%
Bruno Fernandes: 29%
Casemiro: 9%
Alejandro Garnacho: 6%
Among the other players, less than 5%
United could get a good deal on Noussair Mazraoui.
Noussair Mazraoui was the best player for the whole game, even though he was playing left back when he should have been playing centre back.
It’s not clear when Luke Shaw or Tyrell Malacia will return, but if United gets a left back, Mazraoui should be the first choice right back instead of Diogo Dalot.
It’s hard to beat Mazraoui on defence because he’s technically strong in every area, comfortable with the ball, energetic, and smart about how to play his position.
One of the best deals in the Premier League this season is Mazraoui, who cost just £12.8 million at the start.
Mazraoui has been a great addition to this team, even though United has been having a tough time and there were early worries about the transfer window in general.
