Amorim is ready to pay £90 million to get a player for Manchester United – Report
Manchester United no longer has Erik ten Hag as their manager. In the two games since, interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy led his team to a 5-2 win over Leicester City and a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
There are some good signs about the Red Devils that new boss Ruben Amorim will look at.
The press is much stronger now, and players like Casemiro look better than they did when Erik ten Hag was in charge.
That’s normal for new managers to bring new ideas to the club, so it wouldn’t be strange if the Portuguese coach wanted to bring his own players.
According to Caught Offside, Amorim wants to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as a dynamic player for Manchester United.
For most of the last three seasons, the Georgian winger has been seen as one of the most exciting wide players in the world. Like some of the best shows in the world, these acts have been amazing.
Besides being a midfielder, Khvicha can do a lot more with the ball. It’s hard to stop him from coming up with new ideas, and he’s great at setting up players ahead of him, like Victor Osimhen and now Romelu Lukaku.
The Italian giants value Kvaratskhelia at around £90 million, so it won’t be easy for Man United and Amorim to sign him. Napoli, who are currently in first place in Serie A, know this better than anyone else.
Here’s the official stuff:
On paper, it doesn’t make much sense to replace Antony with Khvicha, who likes to play on the left. Right now, Manchester United has two of their best wingers, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, who both want to play on the left side.
Even though there are clear benefits to the move, Manchester United would be better off trying to find a natural left-footed right winger. At the time, that’s what the team wants most. Let’s see how things change.
