Tadej Pogacar wasn’t at the Tour de France route presentation in Paris last Tuesday. The UAE Team Emirates Slovenian is currently on a well-deserved vacation with his girlfriend Urska Zigart. However, Pogacar will be at an event that friend and colleague Matteo Trentin is putting together in Monaco at the end of November.

Pogacar took advantage of a convenient time to go on vacation after meeting with sponsors in the United Arab Emirates, which meant he couldn’t be in Paris. He will get back home on November 24, which will give him time to go to the event with his friend Trentin.

Monaco will host the Beking event for the third time. This is a project that encourages riding at all levels and wants more people to know about it as a way to get around. Even founder Trentin knows that the world winner and superstar from Slovenia, who lives in Monaco, are the best ambassadors you can have.

“Tadej should be proud to wear his world champion’s jersey around Monaco.” We’re very proud of this, and the people will love being able to see the world champion play so close. This shows how important our sport is to people and their daily lives.

Poscacar was one of the stars at the Beking game.

There will be other WorldTour riders at the criterium on November 24, though, besides Pogacar and his partner Zigart. Others who have already been named are good friend Michal Matthews, fellow Czech Matej Mohoric, UAE teammate Tim Wellens, Elia Viviani and his girlfriend Elena Cecchini, Movistar rider Davide Formolo, and former World Champion Mads Pedersen. More names will be added soon.
Along with riders, other well-known people will also be at the event. For instance, Marin Cilic, a Croatian tennis player, Oliver Bearman, an F1 driver, and Antonio Giovinazzi, a former F1 driver, will all be there. Also, Nicolas Roche, Manuel Quinziato, and Thor Hushovd, who used to race, will be at the event.
