Everton
To sign a “exciting” EFL winger, Everton is waiting for a “cash injection” from Dan Friedkin.
At the time, Everton’s transfer business is confusing because Kevin Thelwell has to deal with some unknowns.
Since both his and Sean Dyche’s contracts with the club end in the summer, it’s hard to make a long-term plan. Also, the terms of the final takeover are still not clear.
Alan Myers has made guesses about when Dan Friedkin will become manager of Everton, but at this point, they are mostly just guesses.
That’s annoying because there’s a lot that needs to be done at Goodison Park and January might be the best month to start.
Well, Thelwell is still in for one long-term goal, even with all of these unknowns.
Everton is interested in people from West Brom Tom Fellow
It is well known that Everton has been interested in Tom Fellows for a long time. They tried to sign him in January and again in the summer.
When West Bromwich Albion first tried to sign the talented player, not many people knew about it. But since then, the 21-year-old has become a regular at the Hawthorns under Carlos Corberan.
In a strange twist, Everton has been linked with Carlos Corberan as a manager candidate in recent years.
Journalist Alan Nixon wrote on his Patreon page that Everton is keeping an eye on West Brom’s young winger Tom Fellows while the Toffees wait for a cash boost. This is the most recent news about Fellows’s interest.
One of the best young players in the Championship is Fellows, who has played for England under-21. The Toffees sent a group to check him out.
“Friends may be ready for the big step up to the Premier League, and Everton needs new life in their attack.”
How good is Tom Fellows, who Everton wants?
Fellows has spent his whole career with the Baggies so far, having come up through their academy. He is already well-known and admired in the West Midlands.
It’s possible for him to take his good form from the EFL Championship to the Premier League, since it has been going strong since January.
Last year, in the old tournament, he was in great shape and helped set up six goals in just nine games, which was his first stretch of first-team appearances.
Even though he hasn’t scored many goals this season, five assists in just ten starts is still a great result for someone so young.
In January, a West Brom expert gave Tom Fellows a bad grade. Since then, the young player has only come up in strength.
As late as September, Carlton Palmer said this about him: “He made his breakthrough into the first team in the last 12 months. He is an exciting player who is potentially going to have a fantastic future and is going to go up in value.”
Fellows should do well in any system, even if Dyche isn’t in charge of Everton. He is still young enough to be shaped in any way.
