Martin Odegaard has received an injury update from Norway manager Stale Solbakken prior to Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League away match at Brentford.

In recent weeks, the Gunners captain has been sidelined with an unspecified injury. His last appearance was as a late substitute in the Carabao Cup fourth round defeat to West Ham United.

Solbakken has now disclosed to Eurosport that the playmaker may be available for the Gunners’ away match against the Bees this month.

The head coach of Norway verified that he had a 45-minute conversation with Odegaard and that he is “becoming increasingly better.” His participation in the derby is anticipated to be noteworthy.

“I have just returned from a three-quarter-hour conversation with Martin,” he stated.

“He continues to improve, and then he incrementally advances.

“Since it has been approximately three weeks since my last special training session, it is critical to approach the situation gradually.

“Arsenal and he therefore likely hold the hope that he is available to play against Brentford.”

Despite not being at his most prolific this season, the Gunners captain has still demonstrated remarkable consistency with 15 appearances across all competitions and five goals and one assist.

At number 10, he is the most innovative player for the club, and his absence in recent contests has been profound. In his absence, Kai Havertz has not contributed in any capacity to the position.

Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira, the other available members of the squad, are both unavailable at this time. Vieira will miss three domestic contests due to his dismissal against Burnley.

Conversely, Smith Rowe’s participation has been canceled due to a knee injury. Therefore, Arsenal will be anticipating Odegaard’s return to the starting lineup for their trip to west London.
