Everton
Today’s “Huge” Calvert-Lewin news is only available on Everton.
Football Insider has learned that Everton will have to make Dominic Calvert-Lewin a “huge” offer in order to get him to sign a new deal with the club.
Pete O’Rourke, a senior correspondent for Football Insider, said on the latest episode of the Inside Track podcast that the 27-year-old is in a “strong position” to decide what to do next.
The forward’s contract with Everton ends at the end of this season, and he is now in the last six months of his deal.
If he can’t come to an agreement on a new deal by January, the England player will be able to talk to clubs in other countries and sign a pre-contract agreement.
According to reliable sources, talks are still going on between the club and Calvert-Lewin. The club wants to keep their best players, so they are focusing on these talks.
But Calvert-Lewin is in a good spot, so the Merseyside giants will have to make him a big deal to stay after this season.
Toffees could get rid of Dominic Calvert-Lewin for free.
Any striker who wants to stay at Goodison Park for a long time can accept an offer, but the player himself makes the choice.
The Everton player Calvert-Lewin has been signed since 2016 and has scored 70 goals in 254 games.
Despite long-term injuries, the goalscorer has played in all of Sean Dyche’s team’s Premier League games so far this season and scored twice.
