One player from the Champions League has already packed his bags because the January transfer window is coming up quickly. Everton is the only club named in the story as a possible new home for him.

News about Everton transfers

As another relegation battle in the Premier League began to take shape, Everton’s star player set off big alarm bells throughout Goodison Park. The Toffees finally got back on track before the international break, drawing twice and getting their first win of the season against Crystal Palace, both of whom are also having a tough season. This is after dropping points in close games against Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

It would be an insult to say that Sean Dyche needed that recent run. There are rumors that the Friedkin Group is now interested in Maurizio Sarri and other managers in order to complete their takeover at Everton. For now, though, the former Burnley manager is still in charge and has to keep Everton’s good form going in an important six-pointer against Ipswich Town after the break.

After recent rumors about a Champions League winger who wants to leave his present club, if that stays the case until the January transfer window, Dyche may even get some much-needed reinforcements.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport and Sport Witness, Samuel Chukwueze has already left AC Milan for Everton. Despite being worth a reported €14m (£12m), the Nigerian has only played twice in Serie A this season and needs a fresh start away from the San Siro more and more.

Although Chukwueze only moved to Milan in the summer of 2023, leaving in January would show how badly things have gone in Italy over the last 14 months. But Everton could quickly gain what Milan loses if they make a move and get the winger back to his brilliant best.

It would be amazing to capture “Great” Chukwueze.

After a rough time with Milan, Chukwueze is more than capable of making a difference once he gets his trust back, which Everton could give him. Italians are still interested in this player after he lit up La Liga with Villarreal. If Everton take full advantage of his desire to leave Milan, it could be a huge accomplishment.

Naturally, people at the San Siro will still be upset that the player who Rafael Leao praised last season hasn’t been able to make things work out yet. The Milan star called Chukwueze “great,” but the 25-year-old hasn’t been able to match his 13 goals and 11 assists for Villarreal before moving to Milan. Because they left the door open for Everton to move, they could now make the most of January.
