Nathan Patterson, a former Ranger, is said to be in a fight for his job at Everton under Sean Dyche.

The hurt Scotland player, whose birthday is today, is still out because he tore his hamstring in April of this year, which kept him from going to Euro 2024.

According to The Liverpool Echo, the 23-year-old right back will have to make a “big impression” if he wants to stay at Goodison when he returns to playing for the first team.

He might be fired next summer if he can’t take over the right back spot when he’s healthy again, according to the source.

He left Rangers and joined for about £16 million in January 2022.

Because of his bad luck with injuries and lack of form, he has never really been able to beat Seamus Coleman at right back.

Aside from that, Dyche has also used Ben Godfrey, Ashley Young, and James Garner in that spot.

In fact, Patterson has been in 48 episodes of Toffees.

Also, Neraysho Kasanwirjo, a defender for Rangers, played very well for the Netherlands Under-21s on Monday night, helping them beat Sweden 3-0.

He started at left back for the young Oranje, who won all ten of their games at the Goffertstadion in Nijmegen to finish their perfect European qualification campaign. The 22-year-old is on loan from Feyenoord.

Within two minutes, Kasanwirjo’s teasing cross set up the first goal, which was scored by Strasbourg forward Emanuel Emegha.

A second goal was set up by the Rangers player, who sent the ball to Rav van den Berg at the back post for the Middlesbrough defender to score.

After the half, Noah Elie scored an own goal to finish the scoring.
