TRANSFER: Tottenham has signed Australian attacker on a free transfer deal
Hayley Raso, a 29-year-old forward from Australia, has been signed by Tottenham on a two-year deal. She was a free agent after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season.
Raso has scored 19 goals in 90 appearances for the Matildas since making her international debut in 2012 at the age of 17. She scored three times as Australia reached the semi-finals of the 2023 World Cup, where they were eliminated by the runners-up, England.
Raso will wear the number eight shirt in north London. She could make her debut for Spurs when they host Crystal Palace in their opening WSL fixture on 22 September.
