BREAKING: London City Lionesses have signed League rivals goalkeeper on a permanent deal
Emily Orman, a custodian for Chelsea, has been permanently signed by the London City Lionesses.
The Pride issued an official club press release this afternoon that apprised WSL Full-Time of the news.
It has been reported that the London City Lionesses have paid an undisclosed fee to secure Orman’s services, and the player has signed a three-year contract at Hayes Lane.
Orman, who joined Chelsea at the age of 16, worked her way into the first team’s periphery. Despite being named as a Chelsea substitute during her tenure, the teenager failed to make a single appearance in the first team. In recent seasons, Orman has acquired experience by being on loan at Crystal Palace and Reading.
The keeper possesses a wealth of potential and will be eager to secure consistent appearances with her new club, the London City Lionesses.
Orman expressed her enthusiasm for joining the London City Lionesses, stating, “It is an exciting experience to be a part of London City because our values are truly in alignment.”
“The opportunity to play and develop is highly appealing, and the values that I uphold are also significant to Club.” It is exciting to be a part of an independent organisation; we aspire to establish a reputation and attract additional supporters.
“I am eager to further my development in my own domain, contributing to the team and assisting in any capacity I can.” Consistent performance is the foundation of promotion, and I aspire to provide the team with that.
Orman represents the eleventh acquisition of the London City Lionesses during the summer transfer window.
