Chelsea now considering signing £26m forward instead of Victor Osimhen
According to reports, Chelsea is reportedly evaluating alternative options in lieu of renowned striker Victor Osimhen.
The Evening Standard reports that the Blues are currently considering the possibility of signing Club Brugge sensation Antonio Nusa.
A transfer of Nusa to Stamford Bridge was a topic of discussion late in the summer transfer window, with a possible transfer fee of approximately £26 million.
The adolescent even came forward and claimed Chelsea had offered him a substantial amount of money to transfer to the Premier League; however, he maintained that money should not be the driving force behind his next major move.
A move for the winger on the final day of the transfer window allegedly hinged on their ability to generate revenue through player sales in the closing hours of the window. This did not occur, notwithstanding endeavors to persuade individuals such as Ian Maatsen to participate.
Presently, it has been reported that the club remains interested in a prospective deal, despite reevaluating their transfer targets in an effort to improve their attacking depth.
The club appears to be desperate for an out-and-out striker, despite the fact that they have scored eight goals in their last two matches against Manchester City and Tottenham.
This would lead them down the path of considering Osimhen, who appears certain to depart the club as a result of their treatment of him poorly.
Numerous analysts have tipped Chelsea as the frontrunners to acquire the striker; nevertheless, it will almost certainly cost an additional club-record amount.
This may cause them to consider Ivan Toney instead, who, according to recent rumors, may be available for a more reasonable price tag when the window opens in January.
